The Framingham library system consists of two branches--the Main Library in downtown Framingham, and the McAuliffe Branch in Saxonville.

  • The Library’s 309,244 materials include 255,331 books, 23,461 CDs and tapes, and 22,444 videos and DVDs. We subscribe to 341 magazines and newspapers. We have 899 E-books (and growing), and 2,595 downloadable audio and electronic format items.

  • In FY 2011, library users checked out more than 762,713 items from the two library branches, got answers for 86,369 reference questions, and had the opportunity to attend 663 programs, from preschool story times to author visits. Over 11,000 children attended programs and over 5,500 adults attended programs.     

  • 37,728 people held Framingham Library cards as of June 2011.
