The state site has a plethora of information and tips on buying and building homes, including information about local communities. From the home page select "Residents," then "Housing." In this section, you'll find information about selling and building under "Buying a Home." Choose "Housing Assistance Programs" to find out about help for low-income and first-time homebuyers. "Deciding Where to Live" provides links to information about Massachusetts communities.

Lots of help for homebuyers, including help finding lenders and information on mortgages. Check the calculator section to calculate your buying power using a tool that allows you to view different financial scenarios.
